Red Sea
About
- The Red Sea is an inland sea between Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
- Strategically connecting Europe and Asia, the Red Sea stretches from the Suez Canal through the Bab el Mandeb Strait to the Gulf of Aden.
- Bordering Countries:
- Yemen and Saudi Arabia – East.
- Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, and Djibouti – West.
- Additionally, Israel and Jordan have access to the Red Sea via the Gulf of Aqaba.

- No water enters the Red Sea from rivers, and the Red Sea region receives very little precipitation in any form, although prehistoric artifacts indicate that there were periods with greater amounts of rainfall.
