class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The<strong> Ministry of Culture<\/strong> launched the \u2018Gyan Bharatam\u2019 mission in <strong>2025<\/strong> as a national initiative dedicated to<strong> reviving India&#8217;s manuscript legacy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group border-list\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Did you know?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>India<\/strong> has the<strong> world\u2019s largest collection of about one crore manuscripts.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inscribed on palm leaves, written on materials such as birch bark, handmade paper, sanchipat, cloth, and others, these manuscripts preserve a vast spectrum of knowledge, from Ayurveda, Astronomy, Mathematics, Medicine, and Governance to Philosophy, Poetry, Spirituality, and the Arts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The vision of the Gyan Bharatam is to <strong>safeguard and revitalize India\u2019s Manuscript Heritage<\/strong> through <strong>systematic survey and documentation, scientific conservation, digitization, and publication<\/strong>, along with the creation of a <strong>National Digital Repository (NDR),<\/strong> ensuring its accessibility for research, education, and public engagement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While the project will be<strong> headquartered in New Delhi<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>Ministry of Culture,<\/strong> <strong>regional centres<\/strong> will be set up across all states.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gyan Bharatam <strong>replaces the existing National Manuscripts Mission, <\/strong>which was launched in 2003, aiming to digitise all manuscripts in the country, but was moving at a slow
