  • The Government of India launched the \u201cPrime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana\u201d (PMDDKY) in 2025 <\/strong>to promote agricultural advancement<\/strong> in 100 aspirational districts<\/strong> across the country.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • PMDDKY consolidates 36 existing agricultural schemes across 11 ministries<\/strong> to enhance agricultural productivity and increase adoption of sustainable agricultural practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Coverage & Objectives<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Drawing inspiration from NITI Aayog\u2019s Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP)<\/strong>, which transformed 112 underdeveloped districts <\/strong>in health, education, and infrastructure, PMDDKY targets 100 underperforming districts <\/strong>based on three indicators<\/strong> of low crop productivity, low cropping intensity<\/strong>, and less credit disbursement.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\n

      • At least 1 district<\/strong> will be selected from each State.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The program has five broad objectives:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\n
          \n
        1. Enhancing agricultural productivity;\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Adopting crop diversification<\/strong> and sustainable agriculture practices;\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Augmenting post-harvest storage<\/strong> at the panchayat and block level;\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Improving irrigation facilities;\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Facilitating availability of long-term and short-term credit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Implementation<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          • The scheme operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers\u2019 Welfare, <\/strong>with oversight from a National Steering Committee, State-level Nodal Committees, <\/strong>and District Dhan Dhaanya Samitis<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • A District Agriculture and Allied Activities Plan<\/strong> will be finalized by the District Dhan Dhaanya Samiti<\/strong>, chaired by the District Collector, <\/strong>which will also have progressive farmers<\/strong> as members.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Progress<\/strong> of the Scheme in each Dhan-Dhaanya district will be monitored on 117 key Performance Indicators<\/strong> through a dashboard on monthly basis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
