This typically occurs when <strong>people swim in warm freshwater bodies.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The infection <strong>does not spread from person to person<\/strong> and is <strong>not caused by drinking contaminated water.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong><strong><strong>Symptoms:<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Early symptoms of PAM include headache, fever, nausea, and vomiting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The disease<strong> quickly worsens<\/strong>, causing symptoms like a stiff neck, confusion, lack of focus, loss of balance, and hallucinations.
