class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The<strong>\u00a0iDEX\u00a0(Innovations for\u00a0Defence\u00a0Excellence)<\/strong>\u00a0framework was launched in\u00a0<strong>2018\u00a0<\/strong>by the\u00a0<strong>Ministry of\u00a0Defence\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0<strong>make the country self-reliant and self-sufficient in matters of\u00a0Defence.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0objective\u00a0of the framework is to<strong>\u00a0foster innovation,\u00a0entrepreneurship\u00a0and technology development in the\u00a0Defence\u00a0and Aerospace sector<\/strong>\u00a0by collaborating with startups, innovators, MSMEs, incubators, and academia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>iDEX\u00a0offers<strong>\u00a0grants and support for R&amp;D<\/strong>\u00a0with significant potential for future adoption in Indian\u00a0defence\u00a0and aerospace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Implementation<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iDEX\u00a0is being implemented by the\u00a0<strong>Defence\u00a0Innovation Organization (DIO),<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0<strong>special purpose vehicle\u00a0<\/strong>under the aegis of the\u00a0<strong>Department of\u00a0Defence\u00a0Production, Ministry of\u00a0Defence<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DIO has been formed as a\u00a0<strong>\u2018not for profit\u2019 company\u00a0<\/strong>as per the Companies Act 2013 by\u00a0<strong>Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)<\/strong>, both\u00a0Defence\u00a0Public Sector Undertakings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DIO acts as a\u00a0<strong>bridge<\/strong>\u00a0between the requirements of the Armed Forces and the solution
